Yes it did! We recently re-branded to reflect an evolution in our business, so H.C.B. (Her Closet Boston) is now Hello Caroline. Same great store, just with a new name. Learn more about our re-branding here!

First of all, thanks for stopping by Hello Caroline! Hello Caroline strives to provide excellent quality, highly fashionable goods for the best possible prices! Our favorite brands are those that we buy from frequently and have gotten to know their style and quality to be exceptional - these brands show up in our "Brands" drop down list!

We strive to have the lowest comprehensive price (retail + shipping, without including any promotional discounts) on the web vs. our similar online boutique competitors. If you see one of our items on someone else's site with a lower price, let us know! We will try our best to match or better it, for you and for all of our customers.


Are all of your items in stock? I've ordered from other websites before and found out later my item wasn't in stock and won't be shipping for weeks!

Hello Caroline is proud to say that all of the items you see on the site are in stock, UNLESS you see the words "PRE-ORDER" in the item description and in the size selector box. Any items that are pre-order will also give an expected ship date, so you know when to expect your item. If you don't see the words "PRE-ORDER", the item is in stock and will ship within 1-3 business days! 
In very rare circumstances we may realize when we start packing your order that our inventory count was off, or if an item is damaged, we won't ship it to you. In these rare cases we will send you an email and let you know what has happened, and you can either exchange for another color/size or your purchase will be refunded!

That sounds great! How do I order?

Put all the pretty little items you want to add to your closet into your cart using the "Add to Cart" button on each item page. Make sure you have selected the size/color you want from the item page (if applicable). From your cart you can checkout and pay with any credit card or a PayPal account. Once your payment is submitted, you can expect your goodies to be shipped out within 3 business days, so you should have them in your hands in about a week or so!

I'm ready to purchase. How much is shipping going to be? How are items shipped? What if I want it faster?

Hello Caroline is proud to offer shipping at a flat rate of $4.95 for orders under $50, and FREE for orders over $50! For the full deets on shipping charges, please see the Shipping page.
If you need an item extra speedy, you can use the drop down shipping selector at checkout to choose "Express Mail" instead of "Standard Shipping". Express Mail items will be processed within 1 business day, and transit time is only 2 business days to anywhere in the USA. Costs vary from $35-$45, depending on where you are in the country.

I placed my order, and noticed a few days later that the items I purchased went on sale/you had a promotional sale that would have applied to my items. Do you do price adjustments?

We do! As shoppers ourselves, we understand the frustration when you purchase something and it goes on sale a few days later. Our policy is that if your order was placed in the 72 hours (3 days) prior to a sale starting (we consider a sale to start when we send out the first promotional email - contact us if you don't know when this was) or prior to an item being marked down, we will refund the price difference directly to your original payment method, so it's like you didn't miss the sale at all! For any orders placed from 3 days to 2 weeks prior to the sale or markdown, we will issue you a store credit for the amount of your price difference that you can apply to your next order at Hello Caroline!

To claim your price adjustment, just Contact Us and let us know your name, order number, and the sale/markdown that you would like to adjust for, and we will get back to you with your qualifying price adjustment as soon as we can!

I got my item - I think it is damaged/wrong size/wrong color. Will you replace my item for free?

Of course - we fully stand behind our service and our items, and replace any incorrect or damaged items free of charge! If we send you the wrong item, or send you an item that you believe is damaged, just send us an email to orders@hello-caroline.com as soon as you are aware of the error and let us know what went wrong. We will get back to you as soon as we can, and provide you with a prepaid return shipping label to send your incorrect item back, and we will also ship your correct item RIGHT AWAY! While we strive to have as few of these instances as possible, and do try to check and double check every order before it goes out the door, we are just a small company run by real humans, so mistakes do happen! We stand behind our products and will absolutely fix any error we made until you have exactly the right item you ordered, in perfect condition!

I got my item - I'm not in love. What's your return/exchange policy?

If you don't love your new items, you don't need to keep them! Returns are now super simple with our flat rate pre-paid return shipping label request program! All you have to do is request a return label from us on this page here, and then a flat rate of $4.95 will be deducted from your refund when we receive your return back if you return for credit to your original payment method, or your label will be FREE if you are sending your item(s) back for an exchange or store credit! Is there any other need to know information?

We check over every item before shipment to make sure it has no defects, however please be aware that it is normal for your item to arrive with random extra threads sticking out from hemlines, which can either be gently pulled out or cut off.
It is likely your items may get slightly wrinkled during shipment. If this happens, I recommend putting the item in the dryer for 10 minutes or so (if the material allows, check tag) and the wrinkles should fall right out. Or, use an iron on low heat or gentle steam (either a steamer or bring the item into the bathroom while you take a hot shower).
As a final note, any jewelry and accessory pieces that contain any metal (so belts, bags, or shoes with metal findings, buckles, zippers, or embellishments) may contain small amounts of nickel and/or lead, and therefore as a safety precaution they should not be put in the mouth or left around small children.

Do you sell your products wholesale?

As we are a retail company ourselves, we typically do not wholesale the products you find here. However, we do occasionally have excess inventory of goods that we are willing to offer other retail outlets at great prices! We do have minimum quantity and order total requirements, though. But, if you would be interested in seeing our current wholesale available list, just contact us and let us know a little about your business. If we seem like a good fit for a wholesale partnership I will get back to you with our list!
